CHANGE POLITICS,
NOT THE CLIMATE
Poster Design
2020
My project, titled "Change Politics, Not the Climate," was a significant part of my third-semester coursework at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern. The primary aim of this assignment was to create a compelling poster that could raise awareness about climate change.
Instead of using detailed profiles of politicians, I took a simpler approach. I represented them as basic silhouettes. Inside each silhouette, there's a powerful image: a skull filled with various ecosystems, each of which is home to endangered animals suffering due to human-induced climate change. The message behind these posters is crystal clear: politicians have the power to make a difference. These posters serve as a reminder that the decisions they make not only affect these endangered species but also shape our collective future. It's a plea for our leaders to prioritize environmental conservation and recognize the interconnectedness of all life on Earth. The choice to depict politicians as silhouettes emphasizes that their identities are secondary to the profound impact of their decisions on the climate and the species that inhabit our planet. In essence, "Change Politics, Not the Climate" is a visual statement advocating for a more sustainable and responsible approach to governance.
