TRANSFORMA

transforma is a three-object, open-source furniture and lighting suite that restates the Bauhaus call for socially engaged form-giving at a moment when art, education, and democratic culture are again under pressure. Each piece reduces material, celebrates honest construction, and hands creative agency back to the public.
sip c+e – A pair of stackable porcelain coffee and espresso cups. The usual loop handle is replaced by a dent, stripping the silhouette to its essential volume. The slip-casting mould can be printed on any hobby-grade 3-D printer, so a first-time maker can pour a café-ready cup.
pivot – A flat-pack, perforated stainless-steel lamp. Delivered as a thin sheet, it is bent by hand along scored fold lines into a rigid, double-walled shell. The user can swivel the light plane through 180°, washing either wall, desk, ceiling, or floor with the same light bulb.
lock – A glue-less birch-ply chair CNC-cut from an 18 mm sheet. Pocket-and-tongue joints snap together and are secured by two M10 bolts; the frame nests for minimal waste and the finished chairs stack vertically for compact storage.
All three designs come in dual distribution modes: free CC BY-NC digital files for personal fabrication, and carefully finished, small-batch objects for purchase. By offering both code and craft, TRANSFORMA invites professionals and first-time tinkerers alike to engage critically with production—and to see that a chair, a lamp, even a humble cup can be quiet but deliberate acts of resistance against the myth of neutral design.
